There Are 3 Lists Of The Gifts Of The Spirit

MOST important that you understand .. Jesus EMPTIED Himself when He came to earth and operated ONLY through the Gifts of the Spirit :D

Phil 2:6-11 NIV
6 Who (Jesus), being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
ESV (He did not think that his being equal with God was something to use for his own benefit.)
7 but made himself nothing,(Greek- emptied Himself, neutralized)
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death —
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

SECOND MOST IMPORTANT – EVERY ONE OF YOU HAS AT LEAST ONE GIFT and God EXPECTS you to use those gifts here in the church!!
1 Peter 4:10 ESV
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:

---More Than One List Of Gifts---

There are actually three biblical lists of the “gifts of the Spirit,” also known as spiritual gifts and there is more than one variety of gifts.

Do you know the 3 lists of the gifts of the spirit? DO you know where to find them in the Bible?

Now the 3 lists:

. . . The Ministry Gifts (Office Gifts, Vocational Gifts) . . .
I call them the Ministry Gifts . . .

Eph 4:11-16 NASB
11 And He gave some as APOSTLES, and some as PROPHETS, and some as EVANGELISTS, and some as PASTORS and TEACHERS, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ. 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Next, what most Spirit Filled, Full Gospel Christians call:

. . . The Gifts Of The Spirit . . .

Do you know the gifts of the spirit? DO you know where to find them in the Bible?

1 Corinthians 12:1 & 4-11 NIV

1 Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.
. . .(REMEMBER, the Holy Spirit gives EACH ONE of you as He wills)

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of WISDOM, to another the message of KNOWLEDGE by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another FAITH by the same Spirit, to another GIFTS OF HEALING by that one Spirit, 10 to another WORKING OF MIRACLES, to another PROPHECY, to another DISCERNING OF SPIRITS, to another SPEAKING IN DIFFERENT KINDS OF TONGUES, and to still another THE INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

Then there are the MOTIVATIONAL GIFTS:

. . . The Motivational Gifts . . .

Another set of gifts (what I call the motivational gifts - the things you like to do - what God gifted you with - what motivates you):

Romans 12:6-9 AMP
6 Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] PROPHECY, [let him prophesy] according to the proportion of his faith;
7 [He whose gift is] practical SERVICE (HELPS), let him give himself to serving; he who TEACHES, to his teaching;
8 He who EXHORTS (ENCOURAGES), to his exhortation; he who CONTRIBUTES, let him do it in simplicity and liberality; he who gives aid and LEADS, with zeal and singleness of mind; he who does acts of MERCY, with genuine cheerfulness and joyful eagerness.
9 [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); . . .

There are partial lists of gifts elsewhere in the New Testament, but they all refer to the 3 complete lists I already gave you:

For Instance:

1 Corinthians 12:27-31 NIV
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But eagerly desire the greater gifts.
And now I will show you the most excellent way. (Then he goes on to describe LOVE :)
Luke 11:9-13 ESV
And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

James 1:17 ESV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Romans 11:29 ESV
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Colossians 3:17 ESV
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
2 Corinthians 9:15 ESV
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! (Jesus)
Acts 2:38 ESV
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Holy Spirit)
1 Corinthians 12:12-26 ESV
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. ...
Exodus 35:30-35 ESV
Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. ...
Matthew 25:14-30 ESV
“For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money. ...
1 Corinthians 14:1a ESV
Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts ...
Acts 2:1-47 ESV
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. ...
